The Hastron Library has been awarded a Children’s Literacy Foundation Rural Libraries Grant for the 2017-2018 school year!

The library will receive brand new children’s books ($2,000 value), new books for the Franklin Central elementary school library ($500.00), four storytelling presentations at the elementary school and childcare centers, preschool, $250 to support STEAM programming in the library, and new books for all children who attend the presentations to keep. The grant kicks off with storytelling and book giveaways in Fall 2017 and concludes with a finale celebration in Spring 2018.
